Isabelle’s Maternity Portrait Session
Isabelle has been coming to our studio for years, and she’s always fun to photograph. On her last visit, we did a series of maternity portraits to celebrate her pregnancy. She was absolutely glowing during the portrait session, and I was very pleased with the results.
I often get asked when the best time to do a Maternity Portrait is. The answer is: It depends. Every pregnancy is different, and there is really no set time that works for all women. As a guideline, I suggest waiting until you’re showing nicely. It’s all about the bump in maternity portraits, and you’ll want to show yours.
While you don’t want to come in too soon, you also don’t want to wait too late. Normally the end of the seventh month or early in the eighth is about as late as you’ll want to book the session. Babies run on their own schedule, and they have been known to make an early appearance.
After your baby arrives, I invite you to bring them in within the first three months for a complementary Newborn Portrait session.
